J Rogers: When I heard about the remix competition for Guyver’s new album “Alien on Earth” I knew I wanted to get stuck in straight away and be a part of it, but I also knew it was going to be a big task. I sat down one day and listened to the original over and over again and gained some knowledge of the production level and techniques Guyver had used. I started by stripping down the stems of the remix pack and importing what I felt was right into a new project and just going from there. I feel my remix fits the old European Hard Trance sound and will sit nicely on Guyver’s new album as an encore.
I’ve been a fan of Guyver’s music since I was back at school. I used to have countless flyers across my bedroom wall with Guyver headlining and been among some of the main events around at the time (Tidy, Lets Av It, Eat Your Words) just to name a few. Been the winner of this exciting project of Guyver going back to his routes of early Hard Trance really makes me happy and gives me the confidence I need to carry on producing Trance music.
