Check out some of my top tracks for the month of June. Keeping the energy & feels high on this post are five tracks from the likes of Richard Durand, Iain Cross/Scot Project, Sied van Riel, Dave Spinout & Trickydj, David Forbes & Paul Denton. These household names in trance music continue to show me originality in the scene. Each have their own sound and amazing to say the least. Let me know what your favorite tracks of the month were in the comments below!
Richard Durand – The Air I Breathe (Original Mix)
Richard Durand is synonymous with all things tech, but with this rare uplifting release he reminds us of his incredible and very diverse musical talent. The Air I Breathe is taken from his forthcoming album The Air We Breathe and is a gorgeous, sun-soaked, summer flavoured anthem that has epic written all over it, in the true meaning of the word. Take a deep breathe, close your eyes and let this one take you on a journey. Unmissable!
David Forbes & Paul Denton – Blizzard
This is a dark tech trance beast from 2 of Clandestine’s finest! A killer rolling bassline leads the track through to a sinister sounding stabby lead, before a slamming drop that will destroy all floors.
Iain Cross – Diss U (Scot Project Remix)
Scot Project delivers.
Dave Spinout & Trickydj – Listen (Original Mix)
The second track on our EP see’s Dave Spinout and Trickydj from High Fish Digital turn in a real floor burner “Listen” which has a real tough edge to it, great percussion sections and the synth work in the main breakdown is reminiscent of some of the breaks the Italian’s used to do in their Gas Records releases a long time ago.
Sied van Riel – Atomic Blonde
This is the Sied at his mesmerizing and haunting best. Hypnotic synths break the surface of the skin and latch themselves therein, pads expand and contract then the mother of all razor-sharp riffs is unleashed at the break. Sied manages to authentically capture the authentic sound of Dutch trance in a way that is fresh, invigorating and NOW.
